On August 10, 2018 the Governor of New Jersey, Phillip Murphy signed into law a bill that now mandates our office to send you a Vote by Mail Ballot for the upcoming 2018 General Election.

The new bill states:

  1. If you requested and received a Vote by Mail ballot in the 2016 General Election you will automatically be added to an “all future” election request without further request on your part.
  2. You will be issued a Vote by Mail ballot for the upcoming 2018 General Election and all future elections (i.e. Primary, Municipal & Special Elections) unless you opt out in writing to our office.
  3. Our office is required to notify you of this new change.

If you wish not to receive a Vote by Mail ballot for the upcoming 2018 General Election, you will have to complete the attached opt-out form and mark the box “I do not wish to receive a Vote by Mail ballot for all future elections”.

You need to be aware that if you do not respond by September XX, 2018 you will be limited to either Voting by Mail ballot or by Provisional ballot at the polls on Election Day.  You will not be able to cast your vote at the machine.
